In April 2026, Icelandair set out to prove one point: even the world's worst photographer can take a great photo in Iceland.
More than 127,000 people applied for the title.
Paris resident Blanche Montemard won it, chosen for her gift for consistently poor photos and her refreshingly honest approach to travel. In June, she spent ten days crossing the country, camera in hand.

In this moderated conversation, Blanche shares the story behind the campaign and the photos that came out of it. Expect blurry glaciers, honest reflections, and a case for why the best travel photos are not always the technically good ones.
So did Iceland do all the heavy lifting, or did Blanche somehow out-chaos the scenery?
Come find out.
