A sonic journey through decades of Icelandic music

Join Hermigervill for an intimate listening party at Seattle’s premier vinyl bar, Shibuya HiFi, exploring the songs that capture what it means to live and grow up in Reykjavík—much like the music that defines great American cities. In Reykjavík, music is woven into everyday life. Scenes overlap, generations mix, and musicians grow up close to their influences, audiences, and each other. That proximity has shaped a sound that is personal, experimental, and inseparable from the city itself. This is not a live set or a showcase. Instead, Hermigervill opens his personal archive for a one-night-only journey through Reykjavík’s musical identity, sharing rare recordings and the stories behind them.Presented in the spirit of Reykjavík Music City, celebrating a city where music is part of daily life and the city itself helps shape the sound.
