Lauf Cycles was born in Reykjavík in 2010, when engineer Benedikt Skulason and designer Gudberg Bjornsson set out to rethink how bikes handle rough terrain. Drawing on advanced composite materials and a passion for riding, they developed a lightweight suspension fork inspired by leaf spring technology. What began as a simple idea quickly gained momentum, with early success on Icelandic trails. Oskar is a 21-year-old gravel racer from Saskatchewan, Canada, quickly establishing himself as one of the most promising young talents in endurance cycling.
Now racing for Lauf Cycles, Oskar continues to build on his experience and test himself against some of the strongest riders in the sport. With a passion for competition and a drive to keep improving, he is focused on developing his skills, taking on new challenges, and pursuing his goal of a long-term professional cycling career.
Outside of racing, Oskar recently began university in Victoria, balancing academics with his growing cycling career. When he is not studying or training, he enjoys skiing, sewing, and woodworking!
