Think you know Iceland?

Think you know Iceland?

Get ready for an unforgettable night hosted by Icelandair! Comedians and storytellers Ragnar Bragason and Bergur Ebbi are flying in from Reykjavík to reveal the quirky truths, cultural oddities, and hilariously strange realities of Iceland that no guidebook will tell you. This isn't stand-up. It's more like sitting across from two old friends who happen to have a country's worth of stories to tell.

Expect sharp observations, wildly unqualified advice, and plenty of roasting about what tourists get wrong...every single time. (Spoiler: You've definitely been pronouncing Reykjavík wrong.) Ragnar and Bergur share what it's really like to be Icelandic, from bizarre traditions to the tourist moments that leave locals scratching their heads.

Over 18s only.

Ari Eldjárn

Ari Eldjárn

Ari is Iceland's biggest comedian. Born and raised in Reykjavík, he has done numerous TV specials, sold out the National Theater for months on end, mixed comedy and classical music with the Icelandic National Symphony, and performed with comedians such as Ari Shaffir, Bill Burr and Ed Byrne.

"Pardon my Icelandic" is his debut solo show in English and explores subjects including fatherhood, working as a flight attendant, and living in a country with a population roughly the size of Aurora. The show received rave reviews and was sold out for its entire run at the Edinburgh Fringe, London Soho Theatre, and Melbourne Comedy Festival. After being recorded live at the National Theatre of Iceland, Netflix is now streaming the show, making Ari the first Icelandic comedian to have a Netflix Comedy Special.

Ragnar is a storyteller in every sense—on stage, on screen, and on the road. A graduate of the Iceland Academy of the Arts in Theater and Performance Studies, he splits his time between guiding travelers through Iceland's landscapes and bringing its stories to life.

Ragnar has written and performed with numerous theater companies, co-authored and acted in four radio plays for Icelandic National Radio, and serves as Playwright-in-Residence at the Reykjavík City Theatre. He premiered his solo show Old in 2018 and has appeared in several Icelandic films and TV series. His poetry book While was published in 2008. A frequent nominee and one-time winner of the Icelandic Theatre Awards, Ragnar lives a life full of stories and shares them with his beloved son and two daughters.
