Taste of Iceland is on tour and making its first stop in D.C. on March 8-9. During the two-day festival, Washingtonians can transport themselves to Iceland through a series of events inspired by and in celebration of Icelandic culture through food, crime fiction, music, design, books, and more.
Taste of Iceland will host two-day events with local businesses in Washington, D.C., and official partners, including Brasserie Beck, Eaton DC, Songbyrd, and Wild Days.
Friday, March 8
Icelandic menu at Brasserie Beck
Icelandic Chef Bjarki Snær Þorsteinsson, in collaboration with Brasserie Beck's Chef Brian McBride, will prepare a pop-up menu inspired by Icelandic ingredients and flavors.
Pizza Time with Flétta and Ýrúrarí
A family-friendly design event with Icelandic Design Awards winners Flétta and Ýrúrarí and their "2023 Project of the Year," Pizza Time co-presented with visual arts organization Transformer.
Icelandair Wheel of Prizes
Several lucky event attendees will have an opportunity to spin Icelandair's Wheel of Prizes for a chance to win a trip to Iceland or luxury items from some of Iceland's best brands.
Icelandic Cocktail Class with Reyka Vodka
A two-hour Icelandic Cocktail Class with Reyka Vodka’s brand ambassador and mixologist Jeff Naples.

Iceland’s Crime Fiction Royalty
A conversation with writers Ragnar Jónasson and Yrsa Sigurðardóttir moderated by Anna-Sigga Nicolazzi, former NYC homicide prosecutor and creator of Anatomy of Murder podcast.
Taste of Iceland Cooking Class
Chefs Haflidi Halldorsson and Bjarki Snaer Thorsteinsson will present and teach how to prepare the main ingredients on the Taste of Iceland menu.
