Taste of Iceland is on tour and making its third stop in New York on September 5-7. During the three-day festival, New Yorkers can transport themselves to Iceland through a series of events inspired by and celebrating Icelandic culture through food, music, nature, design, comedy, and wellness.
Taste of Iceland will host events with local businesses in New York and official partners, including The James Beard Foundation, The Ivory Peacock, Pianos, Gallery AP, and Scandinavia House.
Thursday, September 5
Demo & Dine: A Taste of Iceland’s Gastronomic Bounty
Learn and savor recipes for Icelandic lamb, cod, and more. Join Chefs Haflidi Halldorsson and Snaedis Xyza Mae Ocampo at Platform by James Beard Foundation. They will demonstrate how to prepare a delicious meal using these classic Icelandic ingredients. Best of all, guests will get to taste the results!
Designing with Nature
Blue Lagoon Iceland, in collaboration with Iceland Design and Architecture and DesignMarch, hosts a discussion about emergency design and its role during times of seismic activity. Can we design our relationship with nature?
