Iceland's most compelling artists play live at Globe Hall for the Reykjavik Presents: Iceland Airwaves Off-Venue concert
Get ready for a musical invasion, Denver! The City of Reykjavík, in collaboration with Iceland Airwaves, is sponsoring a free concert on May 10 featuring musicians Axel Flóvent and Arny Margret at Globe Hall's live music venue, BBQ & drinks in Denver’s RiNo's historic Globeville Neighborhood. DJ Hermigervill will host the evening and play Icelandic tunes with a twist to keep the guests moving between sets.
Icelandair's Wheel of Prizes will be on-site during concerts. Three lucky attendees at several events throughout the weekend will get the chance to spin and win a range of terrific Icelandic prizes.

Axel Flóvent
Axel Flóvent is from the small fishing village of Húsavík. He gained recognition in 2015 with his debut EP "Forest Fires," earning over 78 million Spotify streams. He released several EPs and his acclaimed first album, "You Stay by the Sea," in 2021, praised for its storytelling and sonic craftsmanship. His music, accumulating millions of streams, has been performed worldwide. In 2022, Flóvent released "Coexist," a collaborative EP. By the end of 2023, he began unveiling singles like ‘When The Sun Goes Down,’ ‘Asymmetry,’ and ‘Have This Dance’ from his anticipated second album, set for 2024 release on Nettwerk.
Arny Margret
Arny Margret is an Icelandic singer-songwriter whose heartfelt and personal approach blends folk, indie, and introspective styles. She has toured extensively across Europe and the US and supported Leif Vollebekk, Passenger, Blake Mills, Ásegir, and others. Arny Margret has played at major festivals, including SXSW, The Great Escape, Newport Folk Festival, ESNS, Reykjavik Calling, and Iceland Airwaves. She has won the Best New Act award at the Iceland Airwaves Plus Awards and the Song of the Year award at the Icelandic Music Awards. Arny Margret has also been nominated for Newcomer of the Year at the Icelandic People’s Choice Awards and the Public Choice category at the MME Awards. She has performed a live KEXP session and has been featured in publications such as Rolling Stone, NME, The Line Of Best Fit, The Independent, and Clash Magazine.
DJ Hermigervill
A longtime heavyweight of the Icelandic music scene, Hermigervill, a multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer, and DJ, has worked with many notable Icelandic artists, produced many Icelandic number-one hits, and released innumerable records under various guises.

Reykjavík has long been known for its vibrant music scene and massive creative output. Internationally revered musicians such as Björk, Of Monsters and Men, Sigur Rós, Ásgeir, Emiliana Torrini, múm, Kaleo, Ólafur Arnalds, and Gus Gus, along with composers like Hildur Guðnadóttir, Víkingur Heiðar, Anna Thorvalds, and the late Jóhann Jóhannsson have all played a part in establishing Reykjavík's reputation as a unique place to enjoy live music.
